I don’t see why not. As long as the soil is of reasonable depth, there is a water source to water the plants deeply to get their roots into the subsoil; and there is a gentle or steep slope for cold air to be falling down away from the plant. Mound the soil with deep mulch and organic matter. Goat or sheep manure and straw and leaves would be excellent. They do not like frost. Grow the trees to six feet tall in large pots in a sheltered place before planting out, if you do get frosts.

Site is best if facing east and south, so that morning light and daylong warmth can be maximised. If you are in a cooler spot, consider varieties such as Bacon, which is the most cold tolerant. It is a B variety. But make sure you have both A and B varieties so they can cross pollinate, otherwise you risk having no fruit.
